Abstract

Four flavonol glucosides were extracted from aerial parts of Chrysactinia mexicana after elimination of exudate flavonoids. They were identified as quercetagetin-3-glucoside, quercetagetin-7-glucoside, 6-hydroxykaempferol 7-glucoside 6-hydroxykaempferol 7-acetylglucoside. 6-Hydroxykaempferol 7-glucoside is a very rare flavonol, while its acetyl derivative is a new natural product. The exudate flavonoids encountered in this plant are methylated aglycones based on the same flavonols.
