Abstract

One of the most demanded and promising application for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are video monitoring services of various remote objects. For this purpose, transmitting video information from UAV in real time has been implemented. For video signal transmission from UAV board, as well as for video camera control signals transmission from base stations (BS) of fixed wireless access (FWA), 5850–6425 MHz frequency band can be used on legal basis because this band is allocated by EU frequency allocation table for mobile and fixed services for FWA in Region 1 of RR and EU countries. This frequency band is also allocated to fixed-satellite service (Earth-to-space links). In case of large number BS utilization in interests of UAVs and FWA communications, harmful interferences from these BSs to satellite receivers in geostationary orbit (GEO) is possible. The paper presented the results of 6 GHz band sharing study between BS transmitters support UAVs video services and GEO satellite receivers. Also presented the methodic for estimating influence of aggregated interferences from a totality of UAVs BS and FWA BS to GEO satellite receivers has been developed, which allowed determining value of aggregated (total) interferences at GEO satellite receivers input with a sufficiently high degree of accuracy without using of Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulation methods like SEMCAT and other methods of EMC stochastic estimation.
