Abstract
In Riverside County, the tenth most populous county in the United States with more than 2.4 million residents, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) comprise 6.6 percent of the population, whereas a mere 1.59 percent of AAPI adults and 0.74 percent of AAPI youths used countywide mental health services. There remains limited data on the barriers to the utilization of mental health services by AAPI communities in inland Southern California, especially in the child and adolescent population.
