Abstract
The title compound [systematic name: (1S,6R,7S,10S)-7-isopropyl-10-methyl-4-methylenedecahydronaphthalene-6,10-diol], C15H26O2, was isolated from the rhizome of Acorus calamus L. The molecule contains two fused six-membered rings, each in a chair conformation. The molecules are linked together by intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding.
