This update allows an evaluation of the pertinence of the research topics that are being advanced locally by the research groups belonging to the faculty of engineering, compared to those developed in other national and international institutions, in order to identify differences, similarities and opportunities. From the academic point of view, the International Meeting of Technological Innovation provides spaces to listen to the needs of the productive sector, in terms of what are their challenges and what kind of skills are those that require professionals who are being formed in universities. In this event the curriculum is confronted by the students who are in charge of determining the gap that exists between the topics that are developed in the classroom in relation to the tendencies exhibited by the international lecturers. Within the dynamics of the event, it is expected that researchers, teachers and students, participate in the activities exposing their class and research projects; this activity allows them to disseminate their results and interact with their counterparts from other institutions and countries, with the aim of strengthening research as a transversal axis of formation, which is part of the vision of the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander and for that reason must be fulfilled from the academy.List of Organizing Committee, International Committee and National Committees are available in this pdf.
