Abstract

The year 2020 was the most challenging and difficult year for the whole world. The COVID-19 pandemic brought the whole world to a seizure. Though now vaccines are hitting the market, this is not the end and COVID-19 is not the last contagious disease. Every day, new high-infection and contagious diseases are emerging. It is very necessary that the spread of such diseases is checked at the beginning itself. To solve this problem, a 5G wireless technology-based Internet of Things (IoT) system is proposed which will collect data from the sensors, analyze and stream it for processing. The proposed system aggregates the sensor data for early detection of a disease, and streams it to the Android/iOS app for visualization and data analysis. A hardware prototype system is developed for evaluation of the proposed system, and the results show that the proposed system can be effectively used for the early detection and prevention of contagious disease.
