Abstract

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is one of the most devastating autoimmune diseases characterized by vasculopathy and fibrosis that affects both skin and internal organs. IFN signature is present in blood and skin in SSc patients. Polymorphisms of IFN regulatory genes IRF-4,5,7,8 and STAT4 have been found to be associated with SSc. Despite these evidence, the exact role of IFN in SSc remains poorly understood. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing on the skin from patients with diffuse SSc(dSSc), limited SSc(lSSc) and normal controls.
