Abstract

This paper deals with a DC-DC converter with maximum output power of 55kW to drive the inverter of the fuel cell vehicle. In this study, 55kW converter is designed with 3 single-phase full-bridge converters in parallel to deal with large current, and each full-bridge converter is based on the topology of LCC resonant converter which enables high-efficiency operation. Also, each full-bridge converter is controlled to be operated with a phase shift of 60°. Input voltage range of the designed converter is 125-220V, which is the output voltage of the fuel cell stack, and output voltage range is from 330V to 410V. The designed converter has been verified for operation in all operating areas using PSpice simulation. In addition, a single full-bridge module was developed, and basic experiments were carried out.
