Abstract

Abstract Foregut duplication cysts presents rarely in adults. Rarely, they can have an intraluminal communication. Traditionally, these cysts are excised via open surgical approaches. This video case describes the Thoraco-laparoscopic management of a 34-year old female patient who was diagnosed with foregut duplication cyst with a pyloro-duodenal communication. Successful excision of the foregut duplication cyst was achieved, through minimally invasive technique. Postoperatively, a right-sided pleural collection resulted, which was successfully managed with image-guided drainage. She is currently alive and asymptomatic at 1-year follow-up. Minimally invasive surgery is feasible and safe in the management of foregut duplication cysts with luminal communication.
