Abstract
Purpose: Mechanical circulatory support with the Berlin Heart EXCOR Pediatric VAD has been used successfully in Europe to bridge children with end-stage heart failure to transplantation. Sixty-five devices have been placed in North America through August 2006. We describe our single-center experience with this device in 7 children.
