Abstract
AbstractChromaticity discrimination ellipses are measured by the use of an LCD. Measured ellipses agree with MacAdam ellipses but significantly differ from that predicted by the color difference formula CIEDE2000 for red and blue colors. We show that it is possible to develop a new color difference formula of high accuracy for displays.
