Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Cervical discography technique is performed through the potential space between pretracheal fascia and the carotid sheath made by manual sweeping of laryngotracheal structure to the left side. Although cervical discography may injure the anatomically important structures of the anterior neck, the reported incidences of complications after cervical discography were comparatively low. However, the dynamic locations of anatomically important structures of anterior neck during cervical discography and the structures under risk by routine trajectory of discography have not been analyzed.
