Abstract
The lateral vibration of pedestrian bridge was induced by human walking in London. It was caused by frequency entrainment betweenhuman walking rhythm and lateral vibration of pedestrian bridge. In this study, human walking model is built by neural oscillator and inverted pendulum. Using eight sets of walking human model, frequency entrainment is realized in simulation and experiment, and on the basis of this result, the mutual interaction between human walking rhythm and lateral vibration of pedestrian bridge is revealed.
