Abstract

Survivors of childhood cancers are at increased risk of subsequent HPV-related cancers and their sequelae. Anecdotal data suggests increased vaccine hesitancy in this group, and it is unclear whether this is general vaccine hesitancy or specific to HPV vaccine. We compared rates of HPV to other adolescent vaccinations in a pediatric cancer survivor population. We define a missed opportunity as a patient missing an HPV vaccine who is otherwise up to date and no mention of HPV vaccine-specific counselling.
