Abstract
OMFS has a high volume of procedure-based, dentoalveolar surgeries and a resultant need for a high volume of consent forms to be completed; this process is time consuming. Failure to disclose risks involved in their surgery denies patients the opportunity to make a fully informed decision. Literature review demonstrated the highest number of claims relate to dentoalveolar surgery.
