Abstract
The finite element method is applied to the nonlinear axisymmetric dynamic buckling analysis of laminated composite shells of revolution. The coupling effect of general laminates is considered in the stress-strain relation. The effects of shell geometrical parameter and coupling on the axisymmetric dynamic buckling pressure of shallow spherical shells are investigated.
