Abstract

In the next fusion experimental devices, one of the big research subjects has been to develop highly efficient plasma facing components. From viewpoints of heat resistant properties and control of plasma particles, high Z metal materials such as tungsten is planed to use as plasma facing materials. However tungsten materials have low fracture toughness and difficult formability. So the superplastic forming is expected to utilize for forming the tungsten materials. In this study, the superplastic phenomenon of tungsten materials was researched at high temperatures by three-point bending test. As the results, the strain rate sensitivity exponent (m value) of the stress removal tungsten material was larger than that of the recrystal processing tungsten material. And the possibility of superplastic forming became clear at the high temperature and the deformation speed.
