Abstract

Introduction: Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are severe mucocutaneous reactions, which are considered a delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction to medication and are characterized by extensive necrosis and detachment of the epidermis. Both are rare diseases, uncommon in the field of gynaecological oncology. They are associated with a wide array of medications, ondansetron being a possible, but quite rare cause of the disease. Treatment of this condition requires a multidisciplinary approach and consists of supportive treatment, local skin and mucosal membranes care, ocular management and different adjunctive therapies.
