Abstract
The zirconia based ceramics generated cavities in tensile deformations. The cavitation affects the mechanical property kind of strength and fracture toughness of zirconia ceramics due to superplastic deformations. Therefore, it is important to clarifies the superplastic deformation mechanism and transformed material. Then, In this study, we carried out tensile fracture test of 3Y-TZP at satrain rate from 3.33×(10)^<-4>s^<-1> to 6.67×(10)^<-3>s^<-1>. Experimental temperature was 1723K. We considered that the condition for generating the cavities and effect on the superplastic deformation mechanism.
