Abstract

Experiments have been conducted to analyze the combustion behavior of solid waste fuels in high temperature and low oxygen concentration using temperature measurement technique. The surface temperature of solid waste fuels gives rise to increase sharply at the instant when the solid waste fuel enters the hot environment of electric furnace and continues to increase during the luminous flame region ,and then during the surface combustion period the surface temperature becomes to be nearly constant. The flame temperature decreases with increasing ambient temperature due to the decrease of air density, though it increases with increasing oxygen concentration. Especially the flame temperature has a little fluctuation due to the combustion of smaller particles emitted from solid waste fuels.
