Abstract

Using a pre- and post-test experimental design, this study investigated the impacts of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) based activities on 5th graders scientific process skills and their attitudes towards science. The data were collected in the summer of 2014 by using Scientific Process Skills test and “What do I really think about science survey”. A paired sample t-test via statistical software was used for the data analysis. The findings showed that STEM based activities positively impacted participant students\' scientific process skills as well as their attitudes towards science.
