Abstract
This chapter is an overview of main processes and effects in cementitious materials which occur under the exposure of ionizing radiation. The information provided should be useful for regulators and waste managers since it shows the possibility of extending the application of such materials in immobilization of not only intermediate-level waste, but also some types of high-level waste.
