Abstract
These days, young children and adolescents are exposed to a wide range of smart devices, and their usage of smart devices is rapidly increasing worldwide. Smart devices have often been considered to have a negative impact on the sleep of children and adolescents, but currently there are no comprehensive studies. In these age groups, sleep is considered particularly important for learning and memory, as well as for having implications on emotional regulation and behavior. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of children’s (ages 2–5 years) overuse of smartphone on sleep.
