Abstract

This presentation will review 6 articles chosen by the Lifelong Learning Committee to discuss the following areas: 1) the association between different types of irritability and depression; 2) the course and outcome of offspring of parents with bipolar disorder who were recruited when they were aged 2 to 5 years old; 3) the efficacy of quetiapine and lithium for the acute treatment of youth hospitalized because of a manic/mix episode; 4) the importance of studying suicidality in minority populations; 5) the factors associated with a lack of early recognition of the first episode of psychosis; and 6) a review of cross-sectional studies describing the effects of COVID-19.
