Abstract

AbstractTo provide clear 3D images regardless of the viewer's 3‐dimensional position, we proposed a light field rendering method in multi‐view displays. In the method, we process each light element individually for the viewer's 3D eye positions obtained by eye detection unit. To deliver clear images to the directions of the eyes, we used the models of the angular visibility responses of the light elements. Combining directional rendering with contents matching for the light field elements, we can provide clear image with realistic parallax on multi‐view displays, even whose number of views are not so large.
