Abstract
AbstractThe University of South Australia program, Bachelor of Engineering (IT Option) contains a sequence of four courses in the field of Systems Engineering, comprising 12.5% of the program. This paper describes the content and teaching processes used in the last course in this sequence, scheduled for the undergraduate students in the final semester of their program. The paper discusses the evidence provided by students of the learning that they have achieved through the course in the assignment assessment, weighted 40% of the course. It is found that the learning about the practice of Systems Engineering developed by students is not correlated with the achievement in the technical aspects of the project. The kinds of learning achieved are discussed in the paper.
