Abstract

AbstractThis paper describes the results of a forward and reverse engineering effort, with the focus on how to plan, mange and control all the different artifacts (models, documents, issues and decision) in anticipation of their re‐use during the development of subsequent versions over the life cycle. A Model Configuration Management Facility (MCMF: a prototype extension to RDD(TM)) was used to keep versions of these artifacts separated and organized into consistent and complete system configurations. Change control procedures were used to ensure the integrity of these system configurations.
