Abstract

Many individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDDs) have a complicated picture and require a multimodal and multidisciplinary approach. The prognosis improves if clinicians incorporate a variety of supports including schools, rehabilitation therapies (occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy), therapists, advocacy, and safety and transition planning. However, understanding how to incorporate this into a busy schedule is a difficult task.
