Abstract

Introduction: Assessment of diffuse myocardial fibrosis is possible by cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging with the quantification of extracellular volume fraction (ECV-CMR). ECV can also be determined by computed tomography angiography (ECV-CTA), using pre- and post-contrast images that are easily incorporated into the standard pre-procedural CTA for planning transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). There is limited data comparing ECV-CTA to ECV-CMR in this population.
