Abstract
Introduction: Thoracic aortic (TA) surveillance is commonly performed using computed tomography (CT). Variation in size between systole and diastole is known from echocardiographic data, however, in clinical practice most TA CT studies are not ECG-gated. We hypothesize that a significant variance in size exists on TA CT depending on the cardiac phase of acquisition.
