Abstract
The carbonatite bodies examined are the Palabora, Spitskop and Premier Mine carbonatites of Precambrian age, the Mbeya carbonatite of Mesozoic age, Tertiary Homa Mountain carbonatite and the Recent eruptions of the Oldoinyo Lengai carbonatite.
