Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: TP508 is a synthetic 23-amino acid thrombin-related peptide, which represents the receptor-binding domain of thrombin. It mimics thrombin by interacting with specific thrombin receptors on cells involved in tissue repair without affecting the blood clotting activity of natural thrombin.
