Abstract

Secure closure of a gastric access perforation is crucial in NOTES procedures. The closure needs to resist a pressure equivalent to or higher than the gastric yield pressure. The aim of this study was to assess the in vivo strength of endoscopic closure using different techniques compared with open surgical closure of a NOTES gastric incision.
