Abstract

Cigarette smoking increases thromboxane A2 (TxA2) levels in non pregnant subjects but this effect has not been demonstrated in pregnancy. We studied cigarette smoking and TxA2 formation in pregnancy and examined its role in the pathogenesis of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
