Abstract

The rate of triplet and higher order pregnancy has increased by 500% over the past 30 years. Triplet pregnancies are at increased risk for almost all obstetric complications, the most common being preterm birth. Cervical length (CL) measurements in asymptomatic women with multiple gestations are commonly used to predict preterm birth. Our goal was to determine if the change in CL in the second trimester is a useful predictor of spontaneous preterm birth in asymptomatic triplet pregnancies.
