Abstract

This paper reports the development of a CFD code for multi-fluid simulations with a momentum equation solver using two integral moments, which are called VSIA (Volume/Surface Integrated Average), and a front-capturing scheme, namely STAA (Surface Tracking by Artificial Anti-diffusion) method. In the dynamical solver, CIP-CSL advection scheme is used for all the prognostic variables. In STAA method, the diffused VOF function is corrected with an artificial flux. A projection methods is devised on a collocate grid. Our numerical tests show that the combination of VSIAM3 (VSIA Multi Moment Method) and STAA indicates good conservation of momentum and volume of fluid.
