Abstract

The UK has spent the past 2 years under varying degrees of social restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact on individuals, especially those who are more vulnerable to the effects of isolation, has been discussed in the literature. King’s College Hospital serves an area with a high prevalence of knife crime, and the maxillofacial surgery team manages penetrating neck injuries (PNI).
