Abstract

Introduction and aim: Cervical cancer ranks the 16thleading cause of female cancer in Malta, with about 12 new cases diagnosed annually. Patients with early stage, FIGO IA2 or IB1, are offered a radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND). We examine the cases of total laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (TLRH) and PLND done in 2017 and 2018. Method: The cases performed were audited, comparing them to quality indicators proposed by the European Organization for Research and Treatment of cancer – Gynaecological Cancer Group (EORTC-GCG).
