Abstract
With ubiquitous application of LCD's within the transportation (Automotive & Avionics) and in the industrial markets, the current generation digital interfaces are confronted with a unique set of technical demands and challenges that are not normally seen in other industries. Technical Demands and Challenges such as wide temperature operation (− 40° C to 105°), Galvanic or electrical Isolation, reduced interconnect count, long cable length drive (up to 10 meters). In overcoming these technical challenges we have developed a new interface product which features an ultra reduced interconnect (2 wire) serial interface. Features and the resulting benefits of how this new interface product has overcome these technical challenges are reviewed.
