Abstract

Little is understood about the health significance of concurrent usage of pro-recovery (pro-R) and self-injury (SI) websites in adolescent and young adult users of pro-eating disorder (pro-ED) websites. Here we describe the prevalence of poly-website usage among pro-ED visitors, and examine differences in disordered eating activities after pro-ED website visitation among users who also visited pro-R and SI websites (triple users), those who visited two types of sites (dual users), and those who visited only pro-ED sites (single users).
