Abstract
Few studies have examined the association of physical activity from young adulthood to middle age with later-adult cardiovascular disease risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemias) due to limitations in the availability of longitudinal cohort data spanning these periods. The purpose of this study was to determine the association between physical activity trajectories (level and change) throughout the adult life course and incidence of cardiovascular disease risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemias).
