Abstract

Motion of steel ball in ball screw is complicated, because of rotation with sliding. In this study, it is considered geometrically motion of steel ball in ball screw, by calculating rotational axis of steel ball from instantaneous direction of motion of steel ball in contact points between ball screw and steel ball. And it is compared a theoretical motion of ball with a real motion of ball in ball screw. As a result, it is shown that value of angle making rotational axis in real motion of ball with Z-axis approximated to value of angle making rotational axis in theoretical motion of ball screw with Z-axis.
