Abstract
Introduction and aims of the study: Uterine adenomyosis and pelvic endometriosis are very frequent benign pelvic pathologies, responsible for painful symptoms secondary to abnormalities of the uterine innervation. However, the uterine innervation is very poorly described. The objective of this project was to carry out an anatomical and functional mapping of uterine innervation, and to elaborate the first three-dimensional reconstruction model of the human uterine innervation. Methods: We conducted an experimental study.
