Abstract
The purpose of this video is to clearly demonstrate the surgical technique of mesh augmented repair for marked utero vaginal prolapse. 22 cases of significant utero vaginal prolapse were treated by isthmic promontofixation utilizing polypropylene mesh after supra cervical hysterectomy. Two separate strips of mesh were used fixing the anterior isthmus and pubo cervical fascia and posteriorly the rectovaginal septum to the sacral promontory. Very good anatomical and functional correction obtained. No mesh erosion reported in two year follow-up.
