Abstract

We have developed a hopping robot with crank mechanisms driven by phase difference control. A set of crank mechanisms is used for the hopping motion and the rotation of the leg. We linearly approximated flight and stance phase and numerically searched a state feedback for stability of the hopping robot. The effectivness of the proposed feedback law is evaluated by simulations and experiments.
