Abstract

K-class hybrid rockets are usually retrieved with parachutes. At the parachute opening phase, the rocket body receives large impact load that causes, in some cases, destruction of the primary structure of the rocket. In this paper, we discuss structural design of K-class hybrid rockets with load analysis of parachute opening shock.
