Abstract

The introduction of PDE-5 inhibitors revolutionized the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction (ED). It remains the First-Line therapy for ED. Man men are initially refractory or become refractory to PDE-5 inhibitors. So, Combination therapy is gaining importance in these set of patients especially in men with severe ED. To evaluate the efficiency and safety of PDE 5 Inhibitors Multidrug Therapy (combination of Sildenafil and Tadalafil) in patients not responding to PDE-5 inhibitor monotherapy (Sildenafil or Tadalafil). This prospective study from January 2015 to December 2015 included 40 patients who were not not responding to PDE-5 inhibitor monotherapy. These patients were assessed using the IIEF-5 (SHIM) score for ED severity, Penile Doppler, Hormonal evaluation and Lipid profile. The non responders were started on a combination of 50 mg Sildenafil and 10 mg Tadalafil once daily. During followup the outcome was assessed with IIEF-5 score and Erection Hardness Scale (EHS). Overall satisfaction, global efficacy question (GEQ) and partner satisfaction were also assessed.
