Abstract
Purpose: There have been several reports of parkinsonian features responsive to levodopa (L-Dopa) in mitochondrial disease. Also there is accumulating evidence that mitochondrial respiratory chain dysfunction may have a role in the development of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease.
