Abstract
This presentation will describe the escalating trends for emergency presentation of mental health crises in youth to an academic hospital setting, as well as the impact on wait times while awaiting inpatient care. Then we will identify potential creative approaches to advance care while boarding either in the emergency department or on general pediatrics services in an effort to stabilize the crises most effectively.
