Abstract

Emergency medical services (EMS) frequently seeks advice, often as a local protocol requirement, on further care or termination of resuscitation (TOR) during an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) resuscitation via online medical control (OLMC). Our objective was to characterize the recommendations made by OLMC in OHCA, and to determine the impact of these on EMS transport decisions and patient outcomes.
